Pc Renewal Checklist
You should give us a call or at least email before coming to our location so we can provide a short consultation of your needs and what you need to bring with you. Everyone's Renewal Service will be slightly different, depending on what you need to have done. But if you are in a hurry, here is a short checklist ...
| The Case |
Just the computer "box" itself, no keyboard, no mouse, or monitor are needed. |
|
| The Operating System |
This CD may be included with the rest of your system software that was included with your computer. It may be a good idea to bring the entire CD wallet (if any) that came with your computer system and we will figure it out for you. |
|
| Windows Installation Key† |
We will need this in order to complete the service. The key may be found on the outside or underside of your computer cabinet.
For Windows XP, it will be a series of 5 alphanumerics seperated by the minus symbol and 25 characters long. Similar to the following format:
xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx
If you have an earlier version of Windows, the key may look different, but the label will disclose which version of Windows is installed. If you do have the label affixed to your case, you do not need to tear it off. The label affixed to your PC may look like the one below:

|
† Any media (cd, dvd, floppy, software certificates, cdkeys, etc.) submitted to us for installation purposes will be returned to you with your computer. All media submitted is the responsibility of the client, we do not advocate using 'borrowed' copies of Operating System install cds and we take no responsibility for materials submitted whatsoever. Our suggestion is: DO NOT try to use "borrowed" copies of the Windows® operating System! These will not be able to be updated and pose a security risk to your PC! |
